I recently remodeled my cage to be a 2x7 (split) on top, with a 2x4 cage plus 2x3 storage area on the bottom. I'm having trouble keeping the middle from sagging on top, so I've been looking at different things to use to support it.

On the GuineaPigCages homesite, it says a 2x4 C&C cage fits perfectly on a standard 5' x 30" table. Where could you buy these tables for a reasonable price? I was looking at this one but was thinking maybe the grids would be too tall on the bottom where the angled support comes out: Amazon.com: Lifetime 8-Foot Utility Table with 96-by-30-Inch Molded Top, White Granite: Patio, Lawn & Garden (http://www.amazon.com/Lifetime-8-Foot-Utility-30-Inch-Granite/dp/B0002U3V9U/ref=pd_sim_hg_4)

What do you guys use as stands/to put your cages on?

I made mine from grids. You can try and build one from wood, that way you can have cabinets and such and it will look more like furniture. That is if you yourself or someone you know is handy enough for that ;). I like shelves and stuff so that's important for me and my stand, I figure most people like a lot of storage as well.

Check out craigslist too maybe if you don't mind hand me down tables, you may get lucky.

I used to use grids as a stand but as I found it to make my room look messy, I built a wooden stand. It is made of MDF (sawdust and glue basically butmy strong) and plywood. It is super strong as my father and I can stand on it no problem. I made it so I wouldn't have to use connectors and it has a little ditch to keep grids in place and a lip to keep the grids in place. It has a lot of storage customized to existing plastic bins and such.
