I was successful with Hershey for about two weeks. He was interested enough with hay and pellets to keep the poop to his littered area for that long, but he definitely got lazy and now poops wherever, whenever. He does tend to pee on the litter. I decided on Swheat Scoop and after taste testing, he decided he liked his hay and pellets better than the litter. Keichi just likes to dig a hollow to lie in and prefers to pee right next to the water.
When Hershey and I watch a show together I have to make sure to keep a towel on my lap. Though he spends most of his time flopped half over my shoulder half under my chin, he will climb down to use the towel for bathroom purposes.
I'm not sure that GP memory is good enough to potty train well. Hershey remembers his tricks if I make sure and repeat them every week, but if a week slips by and no targeting practice, he seems to forget he ever knew anything. We just start over.
