I have 2 boys, one somewhere between 1 and 2 years old, and the other under a year old.
Last week I went on vacation for 7 days, leaving them in the good hands of my boyfriend who has 2 girls. (They stayed separated.) Because of the girls living in the same room, the boys didn't have floor time for a week.
When I got them back, my boyfriend remarked on how they were incredibly slow eaters compared to the girls. I didn't think anything of it, because I usually fed pellets once a day whereas he gives his girls unlimited pellets all the time, so it made sense as mine were used to having less food. But now that they're home, I haven't had to refill their hay bin even once (I brought them home yesterday afternoon.) and it took them until late thismorning to eat their 1/4 cup of pellets between both of them (That I put in their cage shortly after they got home yesterday afternoon). Thinking maybe they just needed a nice treat, I gave them each half a red pepper (Something they could normally devour within an hour at the most) and half of it has been sitting there for 2 hours now.
Sorry for all the detail, but I figure every bit of information helps. Should I be concerned about this? I haven't noticed any other symptoms, other than Stanley's eyes were a bit goopy during his bath yesterday (They really stunk.) but I figured I accidentally got some shampoo or water in his eyes. (Haven't seen any goop since.)
What should I do?
