Yes, they can have large litters. Just ask the person straight up if they are a breeder.

It's also possible that they are from two (or more) pigs and that he's still not breeding intentionally.

Four of my boys came from a person who had a total of 7 babies and what had happened is she got four pigs off CL and thought she had the two males and the two females together, when, well, she didn't, and by the time she realized it both females were pregnant and she had two litters on her hands.

Sometimes you can tell from looking at it.

But yes, they can have that many in a litter .. usually in the 2nd or 3rd etc litter. The first litter is usually less.

Breeders tend not to give away cages. Also, asking only $5 for the rehoming fee suggests a person whose primary aim is to not have the piggies anymore.
