Is being mean a sign of pregnancy?
I've been thinking one of my females in pregnant cause she's gaining weight & eating a lot more.
She also has been really mean to my other girl lately.
Is that a sign of pregnancy? Being irritable?
Or is she just being dominate?

Thanks

Yes, we got her from a shelter that had her housed with an unfixed male for about 2 months.

My two boys fight for dominence sometimes, but it never lasts long. I have heard that girls are less likely to fight or be pushy to one another over that than males are though.

Jazlyn, I've never had female piggs but I have had kids. Let me tell you, there were times that I felt plenty mean, so when I read your post, I had to laughlol.

Then she probably is pregnant if she was with a male that long.

I would agree.
But abnormal aggression can also be a sign of being in heat. Or with hormonal problems caused by ovarian cysts.
If it persists for more than a few days then you can rule out heat.
Do you have a good cavy, savy vet? If you don't you need to start looking for one.

Yeah I have a good one but I don't have the money right now to pay to take her to see if she's pregnant.
