So my 2 boys (1.5 yrs and 4 months) have finally found how to get along. But there are scratches on noses and lips from the "learning to get along" days this week.
So my questions are ,#1- what can I do? I don't want to put anything on it being near mouth and nose. And #2- How can you tell when a scratch gets infected?
The older one has a nasty scratch on his top lip and also has what looks like a possible mouth sore on the inside of his mouth. (he got apple for the 1st time this week and had I known how ugly the scratch was; I wouldn't have given it to him)
So any suggestions on how to make them feel better??

Usually, if the wounds don't require stitching, you don't need to do anything except make sure they are kept clean and don't abscess.
