Vet vet question

ok so I got a new cavvy 3 1/2 weeks ago yesterday i saw a little white worm on his cage. i killed that and cleaned his cage like i was insane :p. everything with him seem perfectly normal but should i take him to a vet? his poop looks fine there isnt anything in it. plz help i have only owned cavvy's for 6 months. i also have a 2 yr old that i got from my mom so no they havent been put together since i saw this.

Are you absolutely sure it was a worm? Was it moving?

yes it was moving i called a vet yesterday and he told me most likely it was a maggot from all the flies that get in here. i told him that my cages get changed 2-3 times a week and he still says thats what it was.
