Coroplast Painting?

I got a second guinea pig a while ago. He came with a C&C cage, but the coroplast is made out of For Sale Signs. I don't like the design much, but hey, it works. I really don't want to get a whole new sheet of coroplast. Is there any way I could paint it? If so, what kind of paint would work? It would make a good summer project, lol. Thank you!

You could paint it but you'd need animal safe paint and a few days for it to air out before the pigs could be on it again. It would be better if you didn't though.

How about getting some pretty contact paper and papering the outside of the coroplast where the pigs cannot get to it to chew it?

I guess I could do that. But then the colors would be on the outside if the cage, right?

My pigs chew the coroplast on the sides of the cage so I wouldn't paint it. You can get non-toxic paint (kiddie paint) which you could consider painting it with.

If you are talking about the contact paper, then yes. You'd only put it on the outside of the coroplast. I did that once and it turned out pretty nice.

Okay, after reading this, I'm not going to paint it. I will probably gat a different kind of coloplast.
