Hi everyone.

I am heading out tomorrow to buy the grids/cubes to make my piggies (2) a new home.

As they are 14" each, how many would make a nice area for 2 , possibly 3 piggies? (I might buy another later.)

4by4 would make 56" , im not sure of the sq feet etc.
I would like to have room for a couple toys ,hidie holes, not too many and all the basics, plenty running room and im not putting a litter tray as they dont use the one they have now anyhow.

So is that big enough,? Im just having trouble picturing it for size.

Please help?

4X4 would be HUGE and GREAT, three pigs would be in heaven if you made that size. YOu would have more than enough room.
You should try to find a local shelter as oposed to buying another pig.

Yes, a 4X4 would be plenty of enough room! Are oyu going to buy the pigs from a petstore, or rescue them? I would reccomend rescuing them.

Good luck with your cage! I'm sure your pigs will love it.

That size is very big. I have a 2x4 for 2 piggies and that is just perfect. A 4x4 would be piggy heaven.

Im glad that will be large enough as thats about all the room i can spare!

I dont have to rescue them as i allready have 2, I may look at getting another in the future but not definate.
One of mine is blind and the vet said hes ok but may not have a long life so eventually i will add another.

Im in australia and not sure how to go about "rescuing" a piggie.
I was looking a few weeks ago at every pound around and they didnt have any piggies, only bunnies, and i was there every weekend for 3 weeks.

My husband wants then to go into a "outside" hutch but he can go kiss it.lol
Its my house lol.............

After a mad rush i finally got the racks to make it!
I got the last 3 packs hehehe.

I started it thinking id do either a 3by4 grids size.. i thought 4by4 may be too large BUT. i have now done a 5by 3 with 2 levels...OOPs??@@

I still have about a dozen grids left but i'll add onto it im sure.
Hubby came home and was like Ahhhhhhhh OMG,,,,
So i said its my space,, and i'll put in it whatever i like...
He dosent have to justify the space his mower or tools take up so bugga him!!

One question,.., the 2nd (top) level dosent goto the front of the cage, (only 2 deep) so should i put more grids up as walls? otherwise they could fall over the edge onto the cage floor below? And how do i hold the 2nd floor up?

Maybe i should look at the galery pics here for ideas!
Anyway im definatly going to get some more piggies now...
