Hello, everyone! My name is Ellen, and I don't have a guinea pig quite yet, but I will be "fostering" two starting tomorrow! Here's my story...
I'm a third grade teacher, and a parent in the school asked if anybody wanted two female guinea pigs - and since I've always wanted one, I spoke up and offered to take them. Well, turns out that they're in an apartment that does not allow animals, so they want me to keep them until the summer time and hopefully they'll have a house by then. I was a little disheartened by this, but then I came to the conclusion that it'll be a good time for me to learn a lot, teach my students a lot, and at the end of the school year, I will be able to get some guinea pigs of my own. So, I came here for some support/help.
I can't wait to get them tomorrow! Any suggestions as far as introducing them to my students and such? They're all around 8 or 9 years old.
