Hay Teff hay?

I have 2 guinea pigs. I also have cows and goats. Recently, local suppliers have been selling teff hay, which is supposed to be nutritionally similar to timothy. Our large animals do great on it, and I have over 100 bales in my barn. It seems like good quality hay, well dried and smells good. Can I feed this to my guinea pigs? We are getting it for about $5/bale, so could be quite a savings over hay packaged specifically for small animals.
 
I don't see why not. If it similar to timothy. Maybe you can look online fopr info. If you do find it, make sure it is not too high in calcium as this can cause stones.
