I forgot and totally forgot where do I get this articles, but I'm quite sure it's reliable: This articles are those that I saved to my word document two years ago when I'am just starting to learn the Guinea Pig as Pets. Wet Nursing Milk Formula
You can make your own wet nurse milk by warming up 50-75ml of semi-skimmed milk (not the full fat Gold top or the healthy UHT or skimmed milk) and add a level teaspoon of honey to provide energy for the babies. You can also some vitamin drops that are suitable for babies or some cavy vitamin drops to help nourish the babies. Serve milk at not much more than room temperature i.e. tepid. You can also mix evaporated milk 1:3 with cooled boiled water and use that.

If you have a baby abondoned by it's Mum the first thing to do is try to find a Foster Mum,this is the easiest way to rear the little tyke..
O.K you haven't got a Foster Mum..What to do know..
Ask your self are you prpared to give the little cavy Patience & an heaps of time..
THIS FOMULA HAS WORKED FOR ME SEVERAL TIMES WITH GREAT RESULTS

LIST OF THINGS TO HAVE
1: A plastic eye dropper...cut of pointed end so the opening is the same size as the dropper shaft
2: A syringe for measuring..A 5ml 1 is best...From your Vet
3: Carnation Evapoated Milk
4: Babies Rice Ceral...from your Supermaket eg:Farex
5: Pentavite..Chemist...Baby vitamin drops
6: A soft cloth
7: Glucose
8: A piece of Lambs Wool

Mixture:
2mls carnation milk & 2mls off water (use syringe for measuring)
1 drop off pentavite
add Rice Cereal till the consistancy of Honey..
1 tiny pinch of Glucose mix together & warm..

Feeding
· This is where the Time & Patience comes in::You need to feed 3hrly everyday!!
· Test mixture on your wrist it should be warm NOT HOT
use cut off eye dropper to draw up a little & place 1 drop on bubs tongue & let him/her work it do don't force or rush..
· When this is finished another drop ...At first just go with a few drops & increse at each meal ..The cavy will tell you when he/she has had enough By turning head away..DONT over feed..
· Clean face with warm damp cloth
· IMPORTANT!!!! you must wipe between back legs to stimulate urinating..If this is over looked it will kill your baby..

hello, guess what babies are doing better and mommy is being a great mother. im pretty sure they are eatting now, im just going to have to keep an eye out and if they dont eat then illhave to feed them. i fell in love wit the babies when i first saw them, so did my mom. they are so little, yet so big cuz my zoey was so little. one is all white and the other it tri color, beautiful markings. both have bright big black eyes. i just hope they surive. poor little one.

That sound really great, however where will the cavies go? will you keep them? I hope you are happy with them.

If you continue to be concerned about the babies you may want to register and post at www.guinealynx.info/forums/index.php

You also might want to start weight the mama and babies. This way you'll know if the babies are eating or not depending on their weight.
