My male Hoover is a nightmare trying to get his claws clipped, and I mean a nightmare he's bitten and drawn blood on my face because of it before, and I've just tried it and I accidently took off more of the claw than I should have and it bled quite alot, and it has not stopped for about 10 minutes I would say.

What can I do to stop it or what should I look for, any advice on it really!?!?

Have you dipped it in anything?
If you ever clip into the quick, just dip the nail into some plain flour if you have no quickstop available. It will stop the bleeding. I think we all accidentally clip into the quick now and again because the pigs don't always like to sit really still.

I was told by an emergency vet (I did the same thing) that baking soda does the same thing.

Hehe, I do love the quote button! ;)

& Oh my god Char! I'd have been completely freaking out! Forget traumatizing the piggie, I think you may need therapy after this! :p
