If it doesn't have treats in it already, I don't see why not.

Fruit is usually considered a treat, but it could be any kind of veggie or fruit, granted you haven't fed it the weekly allotted amount.

Petstore treats are unhealthy. Most contain some type or another of ingredient that pigs do not need at all. The best treats are veggies (ones they don't get often) and the occasional bit of fruit.

Save yourself the money and don't buy a treat ball. Chances are they won't like it anyway.

Don't use these. All petstore treats are unhealthy no matter how good they say they are. The contain chemicals and things that are just plain old fattening and your guinea pig can choke on the "traets" in them.

Don't waste your money. Back before I found GPC I would offer my pig little chew treats and whatnot. Usually she didn't even care for them. Stick with fresh fruits and veggies as treats. See Ly's chart for ideas.

I think she may mean the little round, empty "cages" that you can fill with veggies, fruits and or hay and hang in the cage. If that is what she means then they are fine to use.

I had one of those, they are fun to fill for awhile, but then they get to be a pain. Lettuce works the best because they can pull it out from any side. Anything else either falls out, or gets stuck in the middle. Also, you need to wash it often because juices from the fruit stay on it and that atracts fruit flies. If this is the ball Voodoojoint mentioned. Like a little wire ball with a bell on the end, kind of..lol
