Does anyone have any experience with these grids:
(broken link removed)
Or something similar?

Right now I have a four level 2x5 and I want to build a four level 3x6, but to have a cage that large, it would need to be in our living room ... But I have a cat. :cheeky:

So before I could put the piggy cage in a place where the cat has access to all the time, I need to make sure he cannot stick his paws in.

I do realize that these grids are 12" instead of 14" but I think I could make that work.

I want to know specifically:
  • if they are as easy to put together as the regular cubes
  • if they are as sturdy
  • if air circulation is an issue
  • how doors work, because it will have to be [completely] enclosed
Thank you everybody!

I really want to know the dimensions of the honeycomb grids themselves.. These would be great as an add on to the rat cage I am getting (vacation rattie cage)..

Mesh grids themselves are harder to work with if you are planning on cable tying them together. You have to make sure you get the thin ties.

I would suggest getting the grids at linens and things- they are the same size as regular grids.

If nothing else, you could mix and match regular grids and mesh grids.

So are the plastic ones no good even if the entire top is open? I have a 2x3 cage with only 2 squares covered for the second level.
Right now I have the open wire grids but before I had the plastic ones...
