Hello all. I finished baby-proofing my C&C cage in preparation for the two litters coming in in the next two weeks. However, my C&C also has a playhouse for two 9-lb [and one 3-lb] bunnies and needed a wood frame. So now there is a 1.5" gap between the grids and the coroplast on two sides. Will this be okay? The coro is 6" high. The babies coming in will be 3 weeks old.

I don't have any coro left and the art store that sells it is closed for renovations, could I just use cardboard? Should it be on all sides or just the ones with a gap?
Just to clarify, I baby-proofed by putting hardware cloth over the grids so that they're still visible and it looks good but there's no chance of an accident.

Cardboard is fine. I would only worry about the places where there is a gap.
