(broken link removed) has free shipping for four days only (on the first 30 lbs. of merchandise) - the code is PET3046. They have the cheapest price I've seen for Oxbow hay & food!!

My mom said I can get stuff from there with the free shipping, ye haw! I hear they're pretty cheap for Oxbow stuff, and I'm definitely getting food from there, maybe even hay!

Just a note: I did not like the Oxbow Timothy Hay. The pigs don't eat it well, in fact, maybe only 1/3 if it. It's too straw-like.

I agree. It's still way more pricey than (broken link removed) hay. Thanks a ton for the link, Denise!

I know, kms is waaay too expensive for me. I'm just getting it from a local farmer when I do get guinea pigs, but I'm still ordering everything else at petfooddirect.com with the free shipping today, everything is so much cheaper, without the free shipping even!

thank you so much for the code!

i went and bought some stuff either the shipping discoutnt - i got a really nice carrier with seatbelt lock in and it is airline and travel approved with ventilation, etc. Its actually meant for cats, but all the guinea pig carriers were too small!

i also bought some chew branches, and I ended up saving like 12 dollars!

Thank you for the free shipping code! I stocked up on cavycuisine (30 lbs!).

Also, I agree with the others regarding the oxbow hay. I ordered 9 lbs from the ferret store recently. I am very disappointed. It is very hard and strawlike. I have been using it as bedding for the piggies upstairs cafe. They like to burough into it. They only eat the heads and soft stuff.

I just ordered 35 lbs from Kleenmamas. It was just slightly more $ than the oxbow so I don't feel too bad about paying the difference. I hope the 1/2 tim 1/2 bluegrass will be better.

The Oxbow Orchard Grass hay is the BEST! So fresh, green, and soft! I also had a problem with 9 lb boxes of Timothy, but no problem with smaller bags, like 40 oz. The pigs love the Orchard grass hay, (same benefits as timothy) and I prefer it because it doesn't fall out of the hay rack like timothy. It's a shame the orchard grass doesn't have the grain heads - we call them, "fun bits."

I know most Kaytee products are said to be not that great but my girls love the timothy hay in that brand its always green and smells good and it is long pieces. Several others were browner and hard/straw like.

Just to let you know, km's hay wil last you at least six months for two pigs.

Kaytee hay is not fresh at all. It's also very dusty at the bottom. At least that was my experience. I tried about six bags.

If shipping is causing you trouble, try (broken link removed) hay! It's better to the east coast.
