View Full Version : Making my first c&c

I am going to have a go at making my first c&c.
I would quite like it to be 2 leveled but I was wondering on the difficulty of making them?
Also does anyone have some good designs they could show me for inspiration - I'm currently drawing up afew ideas which I will scan and post onceI'm done.
Thanks :)

It can be as difficult as you wish to make it!

Ensuring your base level meets the required size for number of piggies (find chart on home page), all you need to do is extend upwards with grids, line with coroplast, and make a ramp between the levels (you can use bent grids and/or coroplast).

The best place to look for inspiration is in the galleries, here is a link to upper decks:

Look forward to seeing your design ideas!

Heres my first idea:

I was wondering would a full 2 level 2x4 c&c be ok for 3 pigs?

Heres my 2nd idea:

Sorry I'm not too good at drawing

I think that looks pretty good, Emm.

I also drew my ideas, then learned they wouldn't work once we actually started building it. Haha. But you'll be fine.

I asked the same thing about a 2x4 cage with upper level (that's exactly what I have) and I want to add a third piggy. Everyone said it might be kinda small. If you added 2 more grids along the bottom to make it 2x5 or maybe even 2x6 it would work!

Yeah, but I guess anything will be better than what they're in now, I have them in the nero 3 rabbit cage but once I have them in the c&c I'm thinking of joining the 2 neros together to make it bigger for my 2 boars.

3 bonded boars could live fine in a 2x4, a 2 full 2x4 levels would be awesome for them.

My previous cage was a 2 level 2x4, but I I didn't have the 2 levels connected with a ramp as the bottom was for boars and top for sows. You could drop this cage down, without the extra grid height between the two levels.
