I tried to order some cavy cuisine today but everywhere I tried they were out? I tried to order from the critter store, and from ox bow. Any of you have other ideas on where I can order or why they are out? Thanks!

What size bag are you looking for? I checked Oxbow this morning, and they had the 10 and 50 pound bags available still.

I was looking for a 5 or 10 pound bag. I'm afraid to order the 50 because I was told it spoils quickly since it does not have the preservatives in it. (?)

If you go to (broken link removed), you can look up local dealers that sell it. Hopefully you have a store close to you.

Thanks for the tips everyone! Since we are having computer problems I will probably try buying a bag locally, so thanks skinnypigs for showing me how to look up local stores that carry cavy cuisine. Thanks sealpup for letting me know about freezing it - don't know why I did not realize that before.

If you freeze it, seperate the pellets into multiple gallon size freezer bags and squeeze all the air out before sealing them and putting them in the freezer. That way, you can take out only a couple pounds at a time, and the rest stays frozen.
