I currently have a four leveled 3x4. The bottom level is for storage and then the next three levels each house a pair of piggies. A 3x4 is hard to support so I have lots of support grids and planks of wood. The cage is sagging, creaking and the grids are taking up space. I am also being constantly had a go at about my cage being too large. If I downsized to a 5 leveled 2x4 then one pair could have 2 2x4's and the other two pairs could have a 2x4 each and a 2x2 upper/lower level. I would make an extra 1x1 for the ramp to go. Now whats better. Keeping my current 3x4 or downsizing to a 2x4. If I downsized I wouldn't need to have support grids any more, just the planks of wood. I was thinking that the 3x4 with all the support grids are just taking up more space than what a 2x4 would offer.
Will my pigs be angry if I downsize? Will they start fighting?
Any ideas?
