Alright, I'm going respond to swmpmnstr's two posts piece by piece. His/her words will be in blue and italics. Mine will be in regular font.
-_-
It's gunny you guys are so surprised. You se e Chinese fur trade ah this should be okay they'll just blow dart the animals and skin them.
Although I am not surprised, it is reasonalbe that many people are. Animal cruelty is a shocking thing. Most people do not realize how much suffering an animal goes through before it's enevitable death.
Ibn communist countries like that this is to expect I'm not goin g to criticize they're government cuz they'll probably find out but places like that are sometimes coruppt or that human survival. Dog eat dog.
I agree, I will not discuss communism in this post. It has nothing to do with the issue. The fact is that there is cruelty and corruption world wide. That things like this happen in every country across the globe.
They don 't have any oth er way of making money plus fur is a big industry through out the world.
There are plenty of ways to make money besides torturing and killing animals. They can create synthetic products just as easily, and sell them for the same price.
It makes yo wonder why the banned the famous banned guine apig movies that were fake b ut they allow you to watch real things like that.
I have no idea what you're talking about so I'll leave that alone.
Leaving the animals alive in that video was a little extremley cruel but as those bumper stickers say blank happens.
That's right s**t does happen. And when I see it happen I stand up and do something about it.
Forget the or that human surviv al it does'nt make sense.
I can't respond to this sentece because it didn't make sense.
Becoming a vegetrian souly on the fact you do not like what this video has shown you is rather pointless.
Saving the lives of animals is not in any way pointless. In fact it -is- the point.
Firstly farmers need to grow vegetables and with towns expanding the farming land is shrinking.
Actually, it takes less farm land to grow vegetables than to raise herds of cow or pigs. If all the meat farms were converted into vegetable farms there is a very good chance that world hunger would end. (broken link removed)
SO vegetables will go up in price.
Actually if there are more vegetarians, there will be more vegetables grown. So I do not see any lack of vegetables any time soon (except in areas where produce is already hard to come by).
If hundreds or thousands of people stop eatt in g meat it will not stop the fact that everyday some poor animal is stripped of its fur and skin and left to die some where and possibly get eaten alive .
Actually by the act of living a cruelty free life style (which includes not eating meat, using products tested on animals, or buy fur or leather) we do save thousands of animals lives a year.
If you stop eating meat if there are quite a few of you in one community the store swill sel less and go no we're losing profit.
Actually they will make up the profit in the vegetables we buy, or meat subsitutes. Now you're concerned with people in the industry loosing money? What about vegetables going up in price? Sounds like you don't know what is going to happen.
25% off all meat products, after that people will consume more for they can get more with the same amount of money.
In the generally excepted economic law of supply and demand, if less there is less demand there will be less supply. So what you are saying doesn't make sense.
Than you will realize all that you've done is pointless.
On average a vegetarian saves the lives of 90 animals per year. This number goes up if they live a cruelty free life style, opting not to purchase cruel products. So no, what we are doing is not pointless. It is worth every sacrifice and ridicule we recieve. We are saving lives.
You may feel happy for an ephemeral amount of time but it was all for nothing.
Every day I wake up and am happy with what I am eating and how I am living my life. I know in my heart that what I am doing is right. I save lives and I am healthier for it.
Do you want to know the point? Read the "Whys".
