This is quite possibly the worst video I have ever seen. I found it on a veggie forum that I belong to. It's ten times worse than Meet Your Meat (and that's pretty hard to top). This video had me bawling. It's the Chinese Fur Industry. I thought I would post it for anyone who wanted to see it. I considered going vegan before, but this has just made me consider it very very much. I could probably watch MYM again, but I will never watch this video again. It's truly scary what happens in this world.

WARNING: This video is not for the weak stomached or weak hearted! It is extremely graphic and horrible to watch. If you are sensitive to watching animal cruelty, and you couldn't watch MYM or anything similar, do not watch this video! You have been warned.

I watched the video a few days ago. It has haunted me ever since and probably will forever. I thought I had seen it all, but that was the worst animal cruelty I have ever seen. I feel scarred for life after watching it.

That was one of the most horrible things that I have ever seen. I am in tears. What kind of a human being could not only witness any living creature in that kind of pain let alone be the cause of it. They are monsters. China is such a cess pool for animals. I don't mean to seem jaded but they torture all kinds of animals so that they can be virile when they eat them, maybe we should send them over a boatload of viagra so that the animals will get a break.

:weepy: Gosh, I am speechless and teary-eyed. That is the most horrible thing I have ever seen.

I could not watch it all and I usually have a pretty good stomach and tolerance. I think I may have watched 3 minutes of it. What I really would like to do is skin and beat those people that do such horrible things. How can someone live with themselves doing such a heinous act?

I am partial vegetarian, now I think I will go full-blown vegetarian. I am and always have been against wearing fur, fake or real. I feel really sad for the animals.

I've seen a lot of videos like this, however I've never really been a fan of what PETA does. There are a lot of other harsh videos out there, like US government testing of tazers on pigs, and just plain cruelty like a couple of farmers cutting off a pig's head with a chainsaw, the body just kicking around. A lot of Chinese dog meat farming too. I've got a lot of animal experiment pictures and footage that is supported by the government. If there is any interest in any of this I am more than willing to provide.

China hardly has any human welfare/rights laws, and much more less any protection for animals.

Not only do they skin foxes, raccoons, ferrets, rabbits, etc. but they also skin cats and dogs. "Faux fur" is mislabeled and can sometimes actually derive from dogs and cats. :X

Don't wear fur! :D

It's gunny you guys are so surprised. You se e Chinese fur trade ah this should be okay they'll just blow dart the animals and skin them. Ibn communist countries like that this is to expect I'm not goin g to criticize they're government cuz they'll probably find out but places like that are sometimes coruppt or that human survival. Dog eat dog. They don 't have any oth er way of making money plus fur is a big industry through out the world. It makes yo wonder why the banned the famous banned guine apig movies that were fake b ut they allow you to watch real things like that. Leaving the animals alive in that video was a little extremley cruel but as those bumper stickers say blank happens.

Forget the or that human surviv al it does'nt make sense. Becoming a vegetrian souly on the fact you do not like what this video has shown you is rather pointless. Firstly farmers need to grow vegetables and with towns expanding the farming land is shrinking. SO vegetables will go up in price. If hundreds or thousands of people stop eatt in g meat it will not stop the fact that everyday some poor animal is stripped of its fur and skin and left to die some where and possibly get eaten alive . If you stop eating meat if there are quite a few of you in one community the store swill sel less and go no we're losing profit. 25% off all meat products, after that people will consume more for they can get more with the same amount of money. Than you will realize all that you've done is pointless. You may feel happy for an ephemeral amount of time but it was all for nothing.

Alright, I'm going respond to swmpmnstr's two posts piece by piece. His/her words will be in blue and italics. Mine will be in regular font.

Although I am not surprised, it is reasonalbe that many people are. Animal cruelty is a shocking thing. Most people do not realize how much suffering an animal goes through before it's enevitable death.

Ibn communist countries like that this is to expect I'm not goin g to criticize they're government cuz they'll probably find out but places like that are sometimes coruppt or that human survival. Dog eat dog.
I agree, I will not discuss communism in this post. It has nothing to do with the issue. The fact is that there is cruelty and corruption world wide. That things like this happen in every country across the globe.

They don 't have any oth er way of making money plus fur is a big industry through out the world.
There are plenty of ways to make money besides torturing and killing animals. They can create synthetic products just as easily, and sell them for the same price.

It makes yo wonder why the banned the famous banned guine apig movies that were fake b ut they allow you to watch real things like that.
I have no idea what you're talking about so I'll leave that alone.

Leaving the animals alive in that video was a little extremley cruel but as those bumper stickers say blank happens.
That's right s**t does happen. And when I see it happen I stand up and do something about it.

Forget the or that human surviv al it does'nt make sense.
I can't respond to this sentece because it didn't make sense.

Becoming a vegetrian souly on the fact you do not like what this video has shown you is rather pointless.
Saving the lives of animals is not in any way pointless. In fact it -is- the point.

Firstly farmers need to grow vegetables and with towns expanding the farming land is shrinking.
Actually, it takes less farm land to grow vegetables than to raise herds of cow or pigs. If all the meat farms were converted into vegetable farms there is a very good chance that world hunger would end. (broken link removed)

SO vegetables will go up in price.
Actually if there are more vegetarians, there will be more vegetables grown. So I do not see any lack of vegetables any time soon (except in areas where produce is already hard to come by).

If hundreds or thousands of people stop eatt in g meat it will not stop the fact that everyday some poor animal is stripped of its fur and skin and left to die some where and possibly get eaten alive .
Actually by the act of living a cruelty free life style (which includes not eating meat, using products tested on animals, or buy fur or leather) we do save thousands of animals lives a year.

If you stop eating meat if there are quite a few of you in one community the store swill sel less and go no we're losing profit.
Actually they will make up the profit in the vegetables we buy, or meat subsitutes. Now you're concerned with people in the industry loosing money? What about vegetables going up in price? Sounds like you don't know what is going to happen.

25% off all meat products, after that people will consume more for they can get more with the same amount of money.
In the generally excepted economic law of supply and demand, if less there is less demand there will be less supply. So what you are saying doesn't make sense.

Than you will realize all that you've done is pointless.
On average a vegetarian saves the lives of 90 animals per year. This number goes up if they live a cruelty free life style, opting not to purchase cruel products. So no, what we are doing is not pointless. It is worth every sacrifice and ridicule we recieve. We are saving lives.

You may feel happy for an ephemeral amount of time but it was all for nothing.
Every day I wake up and am happy with what I am eating and how I am living my life. I know in my heart that what I am doing is right. I save lives and I am healthier for it.

Do you want to know the point? Read the "Whys".

Swmpmnstr - here's a thought: if you want to debate something, have a point. It makes it so much more interesting for the listener. It also helps to have a basic knowledge and understanding on the subject matter you are trying to debate.

From what I could decipher from your poorly written posts, you know absolutely nothing about factory farming, animal cruelty, and vegetarianism. How about you go brush up on these subjects and come back when you've got the faintest semblence of a clue? Until then, I know I will not waste a moment defending myself and my priniciples against illogical, inarticulate, and nonsensical babble such as you've presented here.

Swmpmnstr - The vegetarian forum is for the support of vegetarians and those trying to be vegetarians. Your anti veg-an statements are unwanted and unwarrented.

Because of rule breaking on the forum you have been put on moderated status. If your posting habits improve and you prove to be a useful member of this forum you may one day be removed from moderated status. If you continue to attack Veg-anism the best you will manage will be status as a Cavy Person which means you will not be allowed to post in the Veg and Kitchen forums.

The cruelty in that video is horrible and I truly feel for the lives of those animals. I am shocked because I had no idea how terrible the lives of animals can be. I'm sitting here comfortably in the warmth and space of my home and I thought I knew the meaning of cruelty, but I know nothing. I find that I have a lot to think about after seeing that. I don't understand how people can do that with no conscience. I don't really want to understand, it just doesn't make sense and I know it never will. I don't mean to ramble but I've never seen anything like it and I really don't want to ever see it again. With that said, I appreciate what everyone here can teach me about what's going on outside of my little corner of the world.

P.S.: Keep up the good work!
