If you can find the wire shelving, and have it cut to size, it might make a sturdier lid than cubes tied together.

How many pigs are you getting? Do you know if they are males or females? Or are you just going to the recue to check it out and see which ones want to come home with you? It's so exciting!

I'll answer this for jump it since she's getting her pigs now. She's adopting her girls from Have-A-Heart rescue.

Hi!!!!!!! They did fine! We are building their C&C tomorrow so right now theyre in a pet store cage (temporary) that the lady gave us. She even gave us a fence for playtime. How sweet! We found out its a mom and daughter pair and they're adorable. Little pipsqueeks too! They're chowing down on some food and they're in a nice clean cage! Pictures come soon!

I just love Abby's!!!!!! They are beautiful. Congratulations.

The first night went great. My dog handled everything much better than we thought. He has always been the "king" of the family and isn't used to other pets. Anyways, today we bought all grids and coroplast for the cage. We have decided to make a 2x3 and they coro is navy and grids are chrome. Snazy! All together the cost has been about $32. Right now they are in their little play pen and I cut a big paper grocery bag and theyre in that right now. It's so cute, they don't leave eachothers side. We bought 2 pigloos but only need one because they fit in one and are quite cozy in there. I also attempted to put one of those small paper lunch bags and both tried to go in there! They panicked but I slid them out right away. I'm not doing that anymore! We also had to buy another water bottle because whenever the baby wanted to drink the mama would buldoze her out of the way. But now everything is fine with two. We gave them lettuce from the garden and a few sprigs of parsley. Talk to everyone later!!

Don't mind that junk on the towel. It's nothing.

They are so cute! I love abbys. Sounds like they are settling in just great. I want another piggy but hubby says no. We will see, I am sure I can convince him. I keep looking at the rescue in Indiana (the closest one to me) and they have so many. I want a abby, but I know once I get there it will be so hard to choose.:crazy:
