Yes, that would be fine.

I bought one just recently for just 3.00 Poundstretchers. The kind I have is just like a cosie - but obviously bigger, and without a cushion inside. It is made from fleece, but there is only one layer of fleece and then a kind of plasticy backing. I'm looking out for a cushion to go inside, because it tends to smell of pee quickly. I imagine the fleece is wicking the pee down - but it just lies, because it cant permeate the backing. So frequent washing!

I brought this cat bed from Argos: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8704968.htm
It's a bit big but the pigs love it! It's so soft, the only trouble is they've started eating it!

Yup. I think just about anything cosy - cat beds, dog beds, Vetbed, piggy beds etc. - is worth looking at. They make excellent alternatives or extra cuddlecups/cozies. Mine love them.

Thanks I will use the cat beds. it is kind of big so maybe both of my pigs can rest there (I hope they don't chew on it). Thanks a lot:)lol:D.

I put a small baby lap pad in the dog bed I have for my crew to catch the pee and such.
Jarbax, put a crib pad down and then a folded towel and see if that helps.

Don't you think a cat bed would be a bit big though? I almost got a cat bed for my pig, but it looks fairly large, even in a 3 x 4 cage...

This is one of my beds I found at Wal-Mart dog section I believe. Maybe not:

What is a crib pad? (it's not something I've heard of in Scotland/UK - though read about a lot on here.)

It's an absorbant cloth pad that you put on top of the mattress in a baby's crib before you put the sheet on.

It is a mattress pad for a baby bed. We call them cribs you call them cots. Just for the heck of it, look here:

I have a couple of packs of small square ones that I put in the dog bed to help keep pee from the foam cushion.

yeah, i got one of those cuddlecup thingers for my pig, and he's way too big for it. thankfully, he didn't chew it so i'll try the cat bed.

I love the little cat bed with the sleepy piggie in it, I'm going to have to go get one of those. I should avoid the kind that has catnip with it shouldn't I. I know it's a "natural" product but I've never heard wether it would be safe for piggies, plus I know my cats would be trying to get in there to get to it all the time. What a great idea, I love posts where I get great new ideas.

I have seen some places "kitten" beds instead of cat beds, they're about half the size of a regular cat bed. I'll have to see if I can find one online or in a store and take a picture, that might be better as far as space goes.

Catnip doesn't do any harm to guinea pigs, nor help them.
