Welcome to the group Kevin. You didn't say what you have now as far as boys or girls etc.

Do you have any photos of them? What size cage do you have? What are you feeding them?

Are the pigs both female and in different cages? I don't understand the setup.

They live in seperate 18x30 cages set up end to end so they can see each other(didnt get along in same cage. They eat plain pellets and a guneia pig food mix, timothy weed, carrots, celery, apple and going to try califlower to see if they like it.

kevin,

Those pictures will probably be deleted out of the gallery shortly. Pictures of just pigs or of store bought cages are not allowed in the galleries. If you read the following thread, it contains information on how to post your pictures directly in your posts.

Kevin, your piggies are very cute! How old are they? I think I've seen a comment on their cages already, but must emphasize that they NEED more room! It's very easy to build a C&C cage - it actually costs less than the 2 cages you have right now. I had no idea how to build them at first, but was pleasantly surprised how easy it was! Your girls are adorable and they will sure appreciate just a little bit more room! Welcome otherwise!

Have a look around the site and get some guidelines on C&C cages. See this page - https://www.guineapigcages.com/cubes.htm. Are you contemplating one? If you put two pigs in one of those pet store cages the chances are they would fight due to lack of space.

The minimum space for one pig is 30" x 36" as recommended by this site. If you increase their space and give them sufficient places to hide you will find they will probably live together in harmony. Also read www.cavyspirit.com page on introductions for advice on behaviours to expect during introductions.

You will be able to put the girls together in a proper C&C cage. They fought because of not having enough room for personal space. I have 8 pigs in one cage now.

ok im doing research on the bigger cage and all materials can be found in local stores and really dont cost much. but will have to get a large table to put it on. i can build one for less then i paid for 1 of the 2 i got at pet store. and they would be happier together with more space.

I have my cage on 3 tables. Two are 2 x 4 and one is a 2 x 6. They came from Lowe's. Home Depot has them also. With just two girls, if you have room, a 2 x 6 foot table would be fabulous. Otherwise a 2 x 4 foot table will be fine. when you cut the coro, the inner dimensions will be a bit less so it fits well on the table.
