Get rid of the hutch. Hutches aren't a suitable cage for a guinea pig. I know the truth hurts but unless you want your cavies to injure themselves then don't go with this hutch. They won't be able to walk or run on the chicken wire. The whole floor will have to either be replaced or covered with something solid.

Why can't you build a C&C and keep them in the house where they belong?

My family rescued a cavy from a women who kept her guinea pig in a wired hutch and the feet got caught in the wire and got amputated. It was horrible. Hutches are bad, bad, bad! get rid of it. Personaly, i dont even have my rabbit in one!

The point is, your pigs shouldn't be living outside. Even if you took the wire off the bottom, it is still WAY too dangerous to keep them outdoors.

No, they should be inside in a solid bottom.

Please build a c&c cage and get them inside asap.
