Okay I redid my cage and I was wondering is this enough room for 3 piggies beucase I dont have enough to build out so I built up. I spent a lot of time on this. I really hope its enough. Here are some pictures of it and the piggies.:) I know the recomended is 2x5 and the minimum is a 2x4 for 3 piggies. https://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/guineas-r-us/guineapigcccage013.jpg https://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/guineas-r-us/guineapigcccage015.jpg https://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j258/guineas-r-us/guineapigcccage014.jpg

Did you figure out the sex of your first two? If so, are you certain of the sex of the third one?

Where did you get a third guinea pig from?

In my very humble opinion, that is a perfect cage for two guinea pigs. Why not just see how it goes for a while, then build a larger cage for three later if you choose to adopt a third? :)

It's not big enough for three. You need at least a 2x4 for three.

I agree with Niki.

Upper levels do not count toward the overall square footage. That cage is fine for 2 pigs but you would need a 2x4 or better for another pig. If you want to know why upper levels don't count, see this page https://www.guineapigcages.com.
