Why this cage?

I was wondering why some people have their cages like this? I was wondering if they jump out? Thanks everyone and by the way I need to give credit to: (broken link removed) because this is her cage!

They are showing how they have doors and so it is easier to see the inside.

And alot of members have other animals (ie: cats that like to get in there and "play" with the piggies). It keeps them safe from the other pets in the family.

So those arent really open areas they are closed by doors?

Yes, if you look at the top of the cage you can see some grids, they fold down to close it.
