I've been using bent-grids for hayracks for a while now, but everytime I refill the hay, I've got hay "leaking" out from the rear side of the rack.
In the middle of my latest cage renovation, we have a small piece pf cloroplast left, and along with 6 cable ties, we've made this "leak-proof" hayrack.

:D Its really simple, have fun making it!!!

Very neat design. I'll have to try that when I have spare coroplast next.

It is made of those mini-grids that measure 6 1/2".
I bought a pack thinking 2 of these will fit into 1 of the big grids - wronf, off by 1 1/4"..
So now I have 12 moni-grids, so I made 4 of these hayracks, one in each corner :D .
I am sure the same concept can be applied the big-grids, afteral, I just don;t want to sweep hay behind my cages, because that's where most of the hay will fall...

They are much larger than they look. 4 of those in the cage sound like they will work very well. I truly understand about hay falling out of the cage. That's why my hayroom/hayloft has 2 very high sides. Where did you find the mini grids, I have been looking for some.

Hi Ly,
I've orginally bought these grids thinking 2 of these will fit into 1 one the "regular" grids, but they are off by 1 1/2"... so now I've got another 8 extras sitting at home

But they were on sale for $7.99 at Bedbath&beyond, and their regular price was $9.99.
