Hello, I need help picking out a new cage for my 2 adult male piggies, they have outgrown the Oxbow cage I got them. I am not interested in the do it yourself c and c cages, I work 2 jobs and do not have the time for it nor am I very good at projects. I would like something easy to clean base as in like plastic tray or similar. I use carefresh bedding material and am fine with that. Any suggestions? I have 3 cats and a dog so the cage needs to be secure.

I'd say your best bet is one from the Guinea Pig Cages store. It comes with everything precut, and complete instructions for assembling it. It shouldn't take long to put together. And if you ever need to expand it, it's very easy to do.

If I do that what size do you recommend?

There's a tab at the top of the site where you order c and c cages and like bpatters said, they are very easy to assemble.

See the Main tab at the top of this page for recommended cage sizes. But realize that those are minimums, and bigger is always better, especially with boars. I'd go as big as you've got room for.

You won't see the tabs on Tapatalk.

Here's a link to the cage store.

Links to size guidelines. For 2 boys, I'd recommend a 2x6 grids cage.

Since you have cats & dogs, I think it would be easier to just use closet shelves. They are more sturdy. You can go to Home Depot and have them cut to the size you need. You just need to zip tie the corners together, then zip tie the lid to the top.

You can buy a cage base from here:

The cage will look like this.

I recommend them. I got mine off their eBay site for a few dollars cheaper. I can't cut straight to save my life. So the precut chloroplasts was a God send. A couple of hours and some gorilla glue will do u.

I ended up getting one from the guinea pig cages website, switching to fleece bedding. We ordered a large cage which the girls said would be ok, the xl would have been better, however I don't have a spot for a cage that large but was able to measure out a spot for the large size c&c. Thanks again for your help everyone
