Skin Problems Fungus of mites?

My daughter noticed a quarter sized bald spot on Lily last night. There's some flaky skin around the area also. She has been acting fine, playing and not a lot of itching. Does it look like fungus or mites? I am going to make her an appointment when the vet opens.
