Not 100% certain he has mites but sure is scratching a lot. I've checked out the ivermectin med and even have some topical pour on from Amazon, but as I have read we are not supposed to use such for pigs weighing less than 12 oz (he is 6 oz). Any other solutions?

You have two options. The first is to have him treated with Revolution (http://www.guinealynx.info/antiparasitics.html#revolution), for this you will need to take him to a vet unless you are in Australia where it is available without seeing a vet. The second option is to keep an eye on him and wait until he gets big enough to be treated with ivermectin, of course if he was to worsen during this time (ie. develop bald patches) then you could still see the vet for Revolution.

Okay, thanks guys. There is a place fairly close to where I live here in Los Angeles I'm gonna try to take him up to. It is in Chatsworth - http://www.laguineapigrescue.com/ -, maybe they can look him over and give me some advice.
