Hi everyone!

I have two C&C cages. I have to use four fleece, two on each side of the cage for both. On top of that I use a thick towel and on top of THAT I use pillow cases(I call them mini blankets.) I have been reading a lot that people just use the fleece and don't bother with towels and the such. I know my laundry pile is never ending as I change the towels/pillow cases at least three times a day.

I suppose I am just wondering if it would cool if I used only the fleece. I haven't been able to get a hold of the U-haul pads yet, but am definitely interested in them.

Meanwhile, here is Eeyore!

The fleece wicks the urine and anything watery.. So the water substance would just go to the Coro or which ever youre using as a base

Why are you putting towels on top of the fleece? The whole point of the fleece is to wick urine down to the absorbent stuff underneath, to keep the surface dry.

I figured it would be easier to clean up with the towels and more absorption. I don't have the U-haul pads, so I guess I thought it would be a good idea. I'm going to take the towels and things out today.

Towels should be on the bottom, and fleece on top. Fleece will stay dry on top.

See this thread for more on how to use fleece.

Thank you very much! I did just get done reading on http://www.calicavycollective.com/ to place the towels on the bottom. Makes more sense. I would like to change from using towels to using the u-haul pads. I just have to get my hands on some.

The uhaul pads are really great. I bought mine from a local gas station that had a uhaul thing, but you can also buy them from the uhaul website. One of the many good things about them is that they're only $8 each!

I've been doing a lot of ordering lately! :) Just ordered some of the U-haul pads along with some more coroplast. I made a canopy bed out of C&C grids. It's really cute, but I ran out of coroplast for the base!
