Coroplast Alternatives Water proof

I am thinking about using vinyl instead of coroplast because I want my cage to be wider and I already have to use two pieces for the length, so I don't want to have to connect four different pieces together. I also see people saying they use vinyl so I tried looking for some but I am not sure if it is good. In the specifications of the vinyl it says it isn't waterproof... what does that mean?
