    Bathing yellow belly

That doesn't sound like a good idea, dog shampoo is likely to be much too strong, especially a coat-brightener one. Sometimes even human baby shampoo is to strong for guinea pigs. It is better to be safe and buy a specially formulated guinea pig shampoo.

What breed? How do I know if I have a roan or dalmation guinea pig

www.cavyspirit.com/breeding.htm Please read this article on why not to breed. As for your original question, any pig with white on them could be carrying the roan gene.

    Introductions Mama's Boy

Crackers is already sexually mature. Male guinea pigs can impregnate females at 21 days old. It is not safe to have him with any unspayed females.

    Bonding Bonding issues

Also, make sure that no pig can become trapped by another on the top level. It might be wise to add another ramp up to the kitchen.

I think I remember seeing those elsewhere on the internet a little while ago, and I thought they looked like a really cool idea. :) You can buy the same sort of thing for dogs, too!

Behavior Fighting boars, help/advice?hopefully not off my rocker..

Hi! :) The cage size recommendations on the main page are really done with sows in mind. Generally, boars do need more space than sows, so a 2x5 or a 2x6 might be better for your boys. That may help a little with the issues they are having. Sorry I can't be of more help than that.

Frustrated Picking Up My Special Friend

Guinea pigs are prey animals. The ones that do like being picked up are the exceptions to the rule. Most hate actually being lifted, and once they are in your lap they are fine. Mind you, you've only had him a month. Keep persevering, you might find that he does get used to it. The elevator...

Loss What do you do when...

@samijo92 I'm so sorry for your loss. I love labs, they're such funny, goofy dogs! 17 is a really good age though. I'm sure your dog had a very happy life.

Loss What do you do when...

I've only ever had goldfish and small pets pass, and we bury them in our garden. There's a little corner that we use, it's underneath a little bush that grows red berries, and it's really pretty. I don't know what we will do when my dog passes, I think it'd be best if I didn't think about it.
