Hi, sadly I have to rehome 2 out of 3 of my pigs. I have a male who is about 8 months old, and a female who is about 6 months old. Both come with a c&c cage, hidey house, treats, hay, and any toys that can't be used in my females cage. They are very friendly, but hard to catch. I love them both...
I just bought and LM animal farms 12 oz. bottle a few weeks ago and it is awesome! But today, after breaking another brand of bottle I bought a 64 oz. bottle of LM animal farms. It leaks everywhere! In about an hour it filled up a 1/2 cup food bowl. It is horrible! I'm taking it back tomorrow!
I have a bathroom larger than that, but I just block off the door with a baby gate. Then, I store the floor time stuff in there under the sink :p! Then, I just take out the toys, grab some hay and veggies, and let them go!!
I have to add that baby crib pads also work very well. I use 1 layer of fleece, 1 layer of crib pads, and 1 layer of towels and it works very well. No smell for between 5-7 days, and they are very lightweight even when wet. I had used the matress pads but they didn't work very well for me. They...
Breeding animals is torture. There is so many animals in shelters that just accidental litters could support the pet industry alone. I'm pretty sure that this one belongs in the kitchen area of the forum. Also, were not against pet supply stores just pets stores in general. Therefore we would...
I have recently adopted a hamster, a syberian dwarf to be exact. I believe that she is a female but I am not too sure. She is only 1 ounce at the time and is about 6 months old. I have her in a zoo zone 1 and she is happy. I am wondering if this is good or if there is something bad about it...
I'm so sorry for you! There was nothing you could have done at this point. I know how serious tumors can be, I just had to put down my hamster because of a cancerous tumor. Even though they weren't yours, at least they know that you cared for them more than their owner did!
My new girl does that too! I found that the "normal" cage was too small so I put her in my old pig cage, a Zoo Zone 1. She is having fun and the walls are strictly plastic so she can't escape! She is happy, and is now eating some veggies!
Ok, I have finally composed myself enough to tell my story.
We took Harley to the vet, and she died peacefully in her little home. She was always a fighter and hung on for about 20 minutes. She constantly got out of her cage, and made the cat scared to death of her. She scared my mom half to...
Hi everyone. Um ,tommorow I have to put down my hamster Harley. She has been dealing with cancer for a month or so now. There was no way to operate on it but only medicine that we can no longer afford because its $50 every week. I bought 1 round before we realized that it wasn't reducing any...
I was very surprised of the resemblance of an abcess to what she has. I don't see how she could have gotten one, besides she somehow got out of her cage a few days ago. She is doing better from wickedrodent on the chat yesterday telling me to give her a little bit of plain yogurt every few...
I just got my hamster out and she has a mass on her right hip. My mom won't take her to the vet so what should I do? She suggests draining it with a needle but  ! I would never ever do that. She is a registered nurse but what should I do? I feel so bad and maybe a bit of persuasion would...
