    Expensive!

Oh, you have to add an asterisk * on the end, for some reason it didn't include it in the link.

    Expensive!

Is it just me, or are these C&C cages pretty expensive? (broken link removed)*

Thanks both! lol, he doesn't mind the pink as long as I disguise it with veggies ;-)

    Hand-made cuddle cup

I wasn't doing anything this evening, so I found some material and made this! Didn't use a pattern, just cut out three circles and three strips - one each of the outer material, wadding stuff, and felt inside (didn't have fleece). Wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I'm quite pleased with it! Mod

    Trouble with fleece

I had newspaper on the bottom, then a layer of towels and then the fleece.

    Go parents

My mum loves the pigs, my dad doesn't mind them, but he isn't mad about them. Mum doesn't spend much time with them, she pops out to the shed every week or two at the most, but whenever I bring someone in side for a cuddle she'll take them off me and sit with them for a while if she's not doing...

    Trouble with fleece

I'll take a picture later if I can remember. It's not that thick, but thicker than some fleece I've seen. Here in the UK most pet stores have it. Try looking around near the dog and cat beds - that's where I usually find it here.

    Trouble with fleece

I've been using Vetbed for four days, and it's been brilliant. Not a smell, and it keeps the pigs completely dry. I only bought one piece of vetbed, and some fleece for when it needs changing. This morning I did the first complete change - replaced the newspaper and towel and put the fleece in...

    Fleece and Spot Cleaning

I've only been using fleece for a couple of my pigs for about four days, but I've been doing a lot of spot cleaning...every time I go in the room really, I just can't leave it. I've just been picking up the poop with a piece of tissue paper and sticking it in the bin.

That's brilliant! I'm going to find some tubs and give it a go...do you think cardboard boxes would work as a temporary bunkbed?

    Giant Hammock

I had a spare piece of fleece, so I thought I'd make good use of it and give the girls a giant hammock! It is three grids long and two deep, with just one grid on the front so that it doesn't hang on the floor too much. They love it!

    Fleece experience...

Do they all live in one big pen, or do you have seperate ones? An update - we got some fleece, and also some vetbed, so I'll be using vetbed for a few days then washing it while the fleece is being used - both will have newspaper and towels underneath. They've been on the vetbed for almost two...

boys and girls living side by side?

They would be more likely to fight, but in my experience it depends on the pigs. How many boars do you have? All of my pairs of boys have floor time in the shed (it's a 12ftx8ft shed) and the girls' pen is on the floor in there, so when the lads are out the only thing seperating them is the C&C...

    Guinea Pig Secrets?

Looks like you've got quite a few to send lol, but if you have time/are sure you don't mind, I'd like a copy - my email address is [email protected] Doesn't sound like it's much good, but it might be...err, interesting to read..? I got an email about buying it a while back, but ignored it.

    Fleece experience...

Only two pigs will be in the cage (I have 38 lol, but most of them live in the pig shed - I'm keeping these two inside because one of them is 'elderly' and isn't coping too well with the temperature in the shed). Thanks for your reply - mum said if she only has to do one piggy wash a week it's...

    Fleece experience...

I'm hoping to use fleece, if I can persuade my mum to do the piggy washing. If I had a layer or two of newspaper, and then a layer of towels and a layer of fleece on top, would it be ok? Would it smell? How often would each layer have to be changed?
