a few more questions :) what type of detergent do you use? I heard you should use a hypoallergenic one and blahh blah blah... is tide good or to strong? how much do you use? I don't want to use too much:)

(sorry if there is already a topic about this... I looked around and I couldn't find anything) So I might get guinea pigs (trying to convince my parents lol) and when I was telling my parents about fleece they wanted to know how I plan to keep the washer from getting clogged with hair and all...

So I heard from a lot of different sources (including guinealynx) that you have to take ''extra care'' of males like wipe their ''manhood'' and clean their anus, and clean their grease gland. or else they will get impaction. So what exactly do I have to do? how, and how often?

Thanks guys! I look forward to posting pics ;) I think for a good cleaning I'll let it soak in the sink with warm water and mild soap then scrub with a sponge and for a quick cleaning (maybe when the toys look a little dirty) ill rinse with warm water and spray down with vinegar water solution...

no I mean those little jingly balls with bells in them. Even though im a newbie here, i have done my research and i know whats good and whats not good for guinea pigs. :) so bpatters how do you clean the plastic stuff?

Im getting 2 guinea pigs and I was wondering how to clean their toys I will be getting things like pigloos, ferret balls, cozy cups, cuddle sacks, wood chews, AND those crinkle tunnels...etc. how do I clean them? i heard you can soak them in warm soapy water, but i also heard from a guinea...
