Mellow came to us from THISTLE, where she was rescued having suffered horrible conditions, resulting in nasty sores over her back, her hair barely there. Now she is a full blown hairy sheltie - I have to keep her well trimmed! She is a beautiful piggy, and loves chilling with the rest of the herd!

I am heartbroken to let you know that Mellow joined her best piggy pal Emm beyond the rainbow bridge on Wednesday 8th October almost exactly 2 years after we adopted her from Thistle Cavies who rescued both Mellow and Emm from the hideous conditions of their original 'home' along with over 100 more pigs.

She lived up to her name, and was a favorite with all who met her. Her sheltie coat meant that I handled her most, even though she never really liked her grooming sessions.

Mary and Marble sat either side of her throughout her last night with us, it was a very touching tribute to their dear friend.

We buried Mellow near to Emm, they touched our lives more than they will ever know.

Ohhh, I'm so sorry to hear about your little Mellow. She was absolutely adorable. That picture brought me a big smile and a giggle. You gave her such a good life and I know she was happy to get to live in such a loving home with you and her 2 fuzzy buddies. May delightful memories soothe you during this sad time.

She is a most beautiful pig. I am sorry to hear that she is gone. I'm sure her last home with you let her pass a happy piggy.
