I don't think that's a good idea. It's artificial light, can't be good for them! I hope you get rid of that!!!

Hate to tell you CristinaV but all indoor lights are artificial light. You don't have lights or candles in your home? You don't turn them on when it get's dark outside?



Unless they are blinking I don't see how it's any different then the lights we turn on at night.

There is nothing wrong with hanging rope lights. They are NOT left on at night, this particular setup was to get some light into the lower levels.

I totally agree about the lights. I think that they are great. Just because they are a different color doesnt mean that they the rays are going to hirt them any more then normal lights. I mean if they dont get really hot and could burn one of the little cuties, i dont see how they could be dangerous. I think that it is a great idea!

Rope lights are fine for guinea pig cages as long as the pigs cannot get to them to chew them.
