Thanks so much for the compliments Actually DH made me the stand. He built it to fit the cage and the wire grids rest in a grove so they are EXTRA sturdy. The corrugated plastic liner then sits on a piece of plywood for bottom support. He then added a trim around the side and stained it. then made legs and antiqued them. My hole point of the design was I wanted something that looked a little like furniture as the cage is right in our family room! My kitchen table looks just like this, so it fits in perfect!
Hi! You've got a very nice cage. Unfortunately you've got the dangerous grids. Only the 9x9 holes across are safe. The ones you've got have 8x8 holes.
I just noticed your location. I live in Mountain View, CA too!
You can read more about the dangerous grids here.

Ooopps, Lissie is correct. The grids must have nine squares across them. You will have to go out and get the nine squares as the eight squares the piggys heads can get stuck in them..
You know what... I love you guys! thank you so much for pointing out the wire spacing. I have to say, I'm pretty mad because if you look close you will see some are the 9x9 and some are 8x8 and the part that ticks me off, THEY CAME OUT OF THE SAME BOX! I checked one in the store and saw it was 9x9 and never gave it a second thought! Ahhhhh, well I wanted black anyways, so off to Costco I go and I will be checking to confirm ALL are the 9x9.
I have some gray 9x9 grids from Bed Bath & Beyond if you want them. I just built a new cage and have tons of leftover grids.
I didn't know Costco still carry grids.
