I made one like this last night! Works great (I had been using cereal boxes and cut a rectangle out of the lower quarter of the box.
I use the binder clips to hold it to the side of the cage.

I made one like this but with a hard storage box and they love it, it also keeps the fleece clean! Thanks for the idea.
