I do not have this set up anymore, HOWEVER, the guinea pigs never jumped or fell out. The sides were at least 8", which was fine for my adult guinea pigs. There was no "stairway" it was one big horseshoe flat surfaced cage. I'm sorry for the confusion. I know it's not a good picture. Look at it like it's a bird's eye view. |
