Description}: Left side of 3x1 Loft. You can see the exterior ramp entrance, and the L Bracket I used for support. Since G-pigs love tunnels, I had to add one, but made it only semi private as NOT to send the "poop here" signals. Still a fun hidey run through, I reckon.

Description}: Right side of 3x1 Loft. Trying a detachable long Fleece Forrest piece over the bed for a natural, "sleeping under some low, soft leaves" feeling. No G-piggies yet, so we hired a stand in for the hammock.... This floor has ONLY one layer of Zorb2 over the Coro panel. We'll see how it goes.

Description}: This is a 4 x 2 C&C cage. I made the ramp by bending two grid squared and zip tying carpet down the middle for grip. The younger boy took to the ramp and upper deck quickly. The older lad (about 1 year old) took about a month to venture up there. I think he realised there was food up there!

Description}: This is my new cage design, home to three female guinea pigs. 2x4 with an overhanging loft. You can see the structural support on the far right and it's really quite sturdy. The ramp is attached to the 'step' at the bottom with zip ties and it doesn't move at all. They use the step as an extra hiding space.

Description}: I have a hybrid C&C and store-bought cage. My boys use this plastic level as a porch (it was the original upper tier from the store bought cage). I raised it a bit and used some Cubes to create their bedrooms underneath.

Description}: My new loft, ordered from the store...I bent the bars up top to accomodate the ramp, and it took FOREVER to put together, but the piggies love it and I've been able to put so many hidies in it :D Thank you!

Description}: A few changes have been made. I am using a washable kitchen rug because hay doesn't stick to it and piggies don't burrow under it. I change it daily. It doesn't fit the whole 1x3 so I have fleece on the end. I am using a coro hay rack instead of loose hay. They had trouble with a grid hay rack but eat out of this one just fine. The bowls hold 3 tbs of pellets the perfect size for adult pigs. I do fill them several times daily because my pigs are 5 months. The water bottle is held up with zip ties as my rubber band broke.

Description}: This is my upper level. The 1x2 is for pellets,water bottles and veggie bowl(those are bell pepper strips in the bowl they decided the new downstairs fleece is more interesting). It is bedded with fleece and towels. The 1x1 is the hay room. It is bedded with aspen shavings. The hay is changed daily. Those are zip ties holding my water bottle up my rubber band broke. That is a wind chime in the back of the picture. They cannot reach it and it is never used.

Description}: Thanks to an idea I saw in one other members cage, we used wooden beams to hold up the upper levels without any need for support grids. I am glad! Over the years and previous designs, me and support grids don't see eye to eye. :)

Description}: This is Cinomon and Moo Moo's new kitchen. I used towels and I change them once every 2 or 3 days to keep the piggies nice and clean. There is bedding under the hay and not the towel. So the towel ends where the hay is. So far the piggies love it.

Description}: The 2nd level is mainly for hay. It has bedding and hayrack was made from a bent grid, attached to side of coroplast box. They can make all the mess they want!! I added an extra pellet dish and water bottle just in case one of them decides to nap in the tube that connects the 2 levels.

Description}: I'm not sure that you can tell from this angle or not, but i had bent the grids and set the opposite of each other so that they can not jump the sides of the ramp, and then extra grids across the top of the cage by the ramp so they can't jump over the side of the cage

Description}: Side view of my loft. As you can see they will still have plenty of room to run and hide if need be. The ramp takes the most room but even that isn't much as you can tell.

Description}: OK, this is the new "deck/loft" for my new 2x5 cage. I needed to expand my cage because I am adding another boar shortly and needed more room. I went from a 2x3 to a new, very spacious 2x5 with a 1x2 loft. View My blog to read about my new cage :)
