    Coughing Help...Urgent...Please

She hasn't done any of the "coughing" now for about 3 hours. I think she will be fine, but I will keep an eye on her. I'm hoping it was an odd coincidence. I do have a cavy-savvy vet; thanks for asking. Thank you for all fo your help.

    Coughing Help...Urgent...Please

Yes, it sounds like she is choking on something when she does it. She hasn't done it for 15 minutes, so I hope that is a good sign. She is eating hay right now. I don't think anything is stuck in her throat. She did not eat anything when I had her out.

    Coughing Help...Urgent...Please

She landed on her feet, not on her face. But I did check her mouth, no blood, her teeth look the same. She did eat a few pellets about 5 minutes ago. She did not cough while eating but did cough a minute ago or so. Her legs are all fine, I cannot see any visible injury. Thanks for asking.

    Coughing Help...Urgent...Please

I just had my pig out for lap time and she started to nibble my finger (her cue that she has to pee) so I got up and went to put her in her cage. As I started to lower her into her cage, about 8 inches above the bottom, she lept into the air and landed. Now she has been coughing - it kind of...

My Pig Won't Go In Any Type...Help Please

I'll keep trying. I've all ready taken out the pigloo so she can have more room to run around in but kept a cardboard box and the cozy I made. I will go to the dollar store and try the step stool idea. Thanks for that idea.

My Pig Won't Go In Any Type...Help Please

Thanks for both of the suggestions. I'll leave the ones in her cage and I'll try the towel idea.

My Pig Won't Go In Any Type...Help Please

Hello. I just recently constructed a C and C cage and was really excited about it because I could put more things in it for Pig. However, she still refuses to go in her Pigloo, which I bought for her more than a year ago. I even cut the tunnel off so it would have a wider opening for her. I...

    Parasites Visible black jumping bug?

I had the same problem with my Pig. The fleas actually came in from a mouse that we had in the house. That said, fleas are outside and you (and anyone else in your home) can bring them in. They can jump from a wild rabbit, squirrel, etc and can eventually land on you. They do not live on...

    Litter Training Potty training

I successfully potty trained my pig (named Pig) in about a week. What I did was buy a corner litter box used for ferrets. I also used the critter care litter that came with it and bought some extra. I put the litter box in the corner of the cage where Pig went most often. I filled the litter...
