I will state though that you were never flamed for not capitalizing. You seem to have an anger and overreaction problem. I recommend you calm down, take a break and then come back and reread your introduction thread. Maybe with a clear head you will be able to see the truth.

There are 2 levels of caged. With and without PM priviledges. I restricted her PMs because the PM she sent me would make a sailor blush--although it made me laugh. I didn't want her sending anyone else that trash though. Therefore, no PMs.

I wish I could have laughed. I feel so bad for her girl. She's over the age to have a first litter and she doesn't seem at all bothered by it. I don't want to speculate, but if she's not willing to drive 6 hours to adopt, whats to say she'll spend $400 or more on a c-section. This saddens me. She said we don't care that her pigs are happy and healthy, that is so far from the truth. Im going to say goodnight, hug Caesar, and thank god for giving me the common sense it takes to know that if you place a male with a female, they will reproduce.

I feel sorry for gemstone. I felt slightly bashed by some when I first posted on this site about purchasing a guinea pig from a pet store. Maybe those who posted did not intend it to be that way, but I was certainly hurt.

I did not, however, purchase that sweet little angel. One, because I will never be sure that she is healthy and not pregnant until I bring her home, and two, because I do not have enough room for two guinea pigs. I wanted to give her the best home possible, it's true, but there are plenty of guinea pigs in Southern California who will need my help when I get the room.

I read through all the posts, though not her introduction, and I must say that it didn't seem to me that she intentionally bred her guinea pigs. She was given information from a manager at the store she worked that her guinea pigs would not be able to produce until after two years. She believed him, as I'm sure many of us would have if we didn't know any better. It seemed like a reliable source at the time.

I do not think she is going to just dump any of the baby pigs; she said she would find them homes and I for one believe her. Hopefully her girl will go through birth smoothly, even though she is far too old to be having a first litter (which worries me).

But she came on this forum looking for information, and to the best of our abilities, I think we should try and help her in the most cordial way possible.

Rgrandon47 - We tried to be nice. She got defensive over nothing and started the whole petstore issue.

I suggested she try getting off the petstore thread and try some more benign threads, she sent me an obcene and racist PM.

I wish things could have worked out better but when someone shows up here and starts making pro-petstore threads there is going to be an impressive explosion.

She is still welcome to stay, read and post but she will no longer be making needless waves.

People who don't know any better. No one is born knowing everything about guinea pigs, or any other animal for that matter, it's a learning process.

And VoodooJoint, I totally understand what you mean. She sent some very nasty PMs to people and she made rude remarks on here also. And her introduction post was rather haughty to say the least.

But, maybe the next time someone comes to the forums with this kind of mentality, we should try a little harder to welcome them with open arms.
