to our GPW visitors

It is rather silly to join a forum just to make baiting comments to try to cause a ruckus. I request that you refrain from playing childish games.

If you actually want to have a logical intelligent discussion that by all means, you are welcome, but making stupid comments and then lying about who/what you are is ridiculous and only makes you look like fools.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

Not every GPW'er who is a member here joined to cause trouble, but if something demeaning to GPW is posted people will post to protest.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

As I stated "is rather silly to join a forum just to make baiting comments " If that is the only reason for anyone to join then they are being ridiculous.

I also used the term "visitors". A visitor has no intention of sticking around and actually become a constructive member of a forum. I doubt our newest members have any intention of being long term members. They are here on some sort of mission.

Those people who join because they have something meaningful to add to this forum are welcome no matter who they are or if they are members of another forum. We have many members that belog to other forums, many that we do not agree or approve of, but here they are welcome because they do not have dubious intentions.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

Well I think it was stupid of you to join a private chatroom last night to cause trouble.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

There was no private chat room. It was 100% public until people over there resorted to childish swearing and name calling and put a password up.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

It certainly wasn't a private chatroom. If it was a private chatroom at the time, why was it accessible by anyone? It's no wonder that GPW moderators don't want the chat room directly associated with the site and won't allow the link to be posted. Besides, it's only for a certain clique, not all members of the forum.

Edited to add: I see GPW is down yet again. Is that why you're here?

As other's said, it wasn't private.

We aren't the one's who started swearing. In fact, from the time I came in the room, I thought the people I knew from this forum were well behaved. Then People started swearing and calling names. Emmsy was the worst offender of the bunch. In fact she is the one who started new chat names and started saying things like "I hate Guinea Pigs" and I eat Guinea Pigs".

By the way, I thought you didn't know what GPW was? By starting out lying you lose credibility.

Fine! Well at least I am not a hypocrite and don't change my opinions like you do! You must have guinea pigs and enjoy having them like a lot of people but you don't agree with breeding well someone bred that pig so would you prefer it was not born? A lot of people breed and rescue so are they all hypocrites? My local RSPCA volunteer who looks after guinea pigs actually shows the rescue pigs and gets some of her pigs from a breeder instead of keeping the ones that come in. Do you think that is right? I certainly don't!

Actually, in a way, yes. All of mine are rescues (one from an accidental litter). I would rather they weren't born at all then have been born, sold, neglected and dumped. I love my animals very much but would rather they never suffered no matter how good a life they have now or how much I love them.

There are plenty of gps available without breeders making more. In fact there are too many. Tell you what, you breeders work on not breeding for a while and get the animal overpopulation under control and all rescues and shelters have a higher adoption to intake rate. Once that is done I will be on my knees thanking you and you can then tell me about how breeding is a good thing.

Yes they are all hypocrites, expecially that RSPCA volunteer.

I don't have a clue where you get this idea. You are a liar though because you stated you didn't know what GPW was and then all of a sudden you stated about the chat last night.

I'm just gonna give you rope and enough time to thoroughly hang yourself. Then you can join the cage with your friend Emmsy.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

Wow, I get more and more amused by you all trying so hard to come up with excuses. Of course someone bred that pig. They were irresponsible, why else would he be in a shelter? So what are we all supposed to do now? Just let the 5,000 homeless pigs in the US alone right now die in shelters because they were bred by someone irresponsible and are now stuck without a home? But, of course, you'd rather back yard breed yourself than help out an animal in need.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

I have not had a litter myself for over 18 months apart from a sow that I brought pregnant. I do not regret breeding and kept my first litter and my last 2 litters. I would be happy to take back any pigs that I sold that were not wanted anymore and I have done so on a couple of occasions. I have a friend who takes on pigs and breeds but keeps everything herself and never rehomes so does not make her a hypocrite as well?

Oh, but 4bw... we don't have an animal overpopulation problem like that here in the UK...

Re: to our GPW vsitors

A hypocrite knows all too well the effects of breeding on homeless animals, yet still continues to breed and add on to the problem. So yes, if they brag about rescuing and breeding at the same time, they are hypocrits.

Re: to our GPW vsitors

For your information fourbwabbys I would love to rehome pigs that are in shelters but am always told I have too many. From my experience a lot of the large rescue centres make their own rules up.

Yes! It does make her a hypocrite as well! By George I think you are learning!

yu are creating more animals so you can have more animals. You are breeding or buyig them while every day GPs are put to death for lack of a home. I doubt they would thank you for their deaths of course to conditions some of these rescues are in they probably wish for death.

These babies you sell are most likely being bred as well and so are their young and so on... You are just a step among a vast staircase. What you are and what you do leads to many many steps later.
