Thanks and Groans

If someone abuses the thanks/groan feature then by all means let a Mod know. I believe we can delete inappropriate groans/thanks. I'm not certain but I'll look into it.

Of course it really does have to be undeserved. You cannot expect everyone to like what you have to say.

I certainly like the idea of giving these little feedbacks for posts to either thank them for a great post, or groan about something they have written - but to me, I think it should be kept annon.

I dont think many people will give a groan - knowing that everyone will be able to see that they "complained" about what was written.

If these really are there to be a good, honest guide for people likeing/disliking a post, I cant see it working for the negative side.

I am sure most people will be giving thanks, and are more than happy to pass them out and receive them, but I think it can be a problem when it comes to the groans.

Oh, one question - if we have been thanked or groaned, will there be a way to see which posts were thanked/groaned?

If you go up to the Search pull-down menu, you can see all Thanked posts. The author of the feature is working on an upgrade for me that will list all Groaned posts. Right now, I don't have it available.

Thanks for that. I guess one good reason for the "thanks" feature would be that people can just click there to thank someone, rather than always replying with a "thank you".

It doesn't seem like the Thanks and Groans are working now! I can't thank or groan(there aren't any buttons), and I can't see the thingy(don't know what to call it..) below a post that says it was thanked/groaned. I'm still a Cavy Slave, what is going on?

Same thing is happening to me, and I am a Champion, so I would not worry about it. T is probably working on it.
