I was thinking about the Thanking feature and I had an idea / suggestion. Lots of "helpful" posts are for people new to the site and guinea pigs, who want to thank more established members for advice on care and things, but the thanking feature is limited to members of over a month. I thought maybe you could have two different types of thanks - like a "Newbie Thanks" and the normal one...or something like that. Then it would show how helpful you are to new members as well. Hmm I just thought you probably limited it to 30-day members so trolls and time-wasters don't misuse the feature, so my idea is probably stupid But just thought I'd say anyway! |

The thanks feature is a very customized add-on to the forum software. I cannot do as you suggested. Even if I could, the whole reason I don't allow newbies to thank is that too many newbies get completely carried away. They end up thanking EVERY reply to one of their posts. Better to have them have some time on the forum first. |

Ah okay, I thought it might be difficult/impossible to do. Good point about getting carried away too. Thanks for replying though |
