Has anyone read this book? I read it before becoming veggie & it was definitely one of the contributing factors! The European meat industry is slightly different to America's, I think it may have more rules & regulations. It made for shocking reading...my boyfriend is a butcher & after reading it I think he'll be avoiding meat on any future trips to America!! Aside from the meat issues, it is also a really interesting book about corporate business, advertising & money...a recommended read! |

I've read parts of it, but never the whole thing. I have seen the movie Supersize Me! and that's basically about the same stuff. |

Oh, yesh, I read that just a few weeks ago! I've been veg for a long time, but the info in there about slaughterhouses was great. Even the orcanic, grass fed beef he talked about winds up in those slaughterhouse, so really it should all be boycotted. |
