Oh Naturel

Is it really vegetarian? I mean I know it's been discussed as a good vegetarian thing before but somehow I don't believe it's meatless. It's really yummy tho.

Re: Oh Naturel

Is it a product? If you post the ingrediants here we can look and tell you if it is veg or not.

Re: Oh Naturel

It's vegitarian. I eat it all the time. I think they are so successful because they also make real meat products too. It's easier to taste test if you have the real thing on hand.

I *heart* the "beef" tips.

My husband looked at the label when I first bought it. He said it's mostly spices. Actually they are alot of the spices used in smoked meat. Maybe another secret to thier success?

I've never heard of it. I'll have to try it; where can I buy it?

Re: Oh Naturel

I'm not sure if it is available in the US, as Schnider's, the company that makes it, is a Canadian company. If your grocery store carries Schnider's lunch meat then it may carry the fake meat.

Up here in Canada Dominion/A&P, Sobey's, IGA, and some NoFrill's carry some of thier product line. Other stores may carry it, but those are the ones in my (underserviced) neck of the woods.

Hm, I haven't seen it, but it's actually vegan, not just vegetarian!

Re: Oh Naturel

Oh okay Sabriel. I will ask next time!

Tatalp, how can it be vegan if it contains traces of milk, wheat, and eggs?

Re: Oh Naturel

Really because it's so yummy and I think I can actually fool my friends to thinking this is meat. There's also the Oh Naturel chicken strips as well. I got it from Save on Foods, $4.29. I also tried the Oh Naturel hot dogs which tastes a lot better than Yves imo.
